Even before I finished painting the exterior of the Keeper’s House, I was trying to learn how to sand dollhouse clapboard siding. Lots of fuzz, wood grain and who knows what was still stuck in the paint.
I didn’t really know much of anything about staining wood of any size. I’ve never done it! Thus, began the “how to stain small pieces of wood” quest.
I took a deep dive into glue to figure out what is the best glue for dollhouses and learn why I need to use different glues for different situations.
When it was time to paint my dollhouse I had to figure out what the best paint for dollhouses is. Not an easy task. It’s not like painting my actual house, which has drywall, wood, and other surfaces. The dollhouse I’m painting is plain old wood.
